Imperfections? Pffft I call them new? Custom Vents!! LOL just Cut them out stylish on both sides, Reinforce it with a little more carbon fibre around the new "vents" and presto! No more air bubbles...

you can use ...
you can use polyester resin for the carbon? fiber ?

Have worked with ...

Poor brother in law must be mad alright no mask or? goggles for him at all lol !

looks great, ...
looks great, correct me if i'm wrong but your talking about warming up the resin, the warmer you? have your resin the faster it will start to kick, means less time to put te resin...I've made a chair out of flaxfiber and polyesterresin, making it outside in the cold to have a longer potlife (under 20degrees the resin wont start to react) This way I had loads of time to put the resin... after that i putted the whole chair in a bag inside to remove excess resin and let the resin react

@romulocg Yes I'll? ...
@romulocg Yes I'll? probably try vacuum bagging next time - thanks for watching!

Would be nice if ...
Would be nice if you use Vacuum bag, because it will eliminate all the bubbles? and pressure the CF and still having a better finish!

Thanks for the ...
Thanks for the video. That? is cool of you to post your mistakes that you learned from so we cal all learn from them. I have been using the West system, and did not notice any fumes compared to when I worked with fiberglass. I will have to read the instructions to see if they are dangerous. I did think it was funny you said the fumes can kill you and then you had your brother in law help you with no mask :-) Never cared for him much? J/K. great video.

@lunger2006 Why ...
@lunger2006 Why dont you show us how you do all that for a homemade hood. Its true, it would give? better results, if you can get the vacuum to work like it should. Ishobie did great. He didnt need peel because he already used a bit too little resin. As far as I know, the insides dont need to be smooth and he didnt wait between layups. Nice work.

Nice video, I ...
Nice video, I especially like that you took the time to show your mistakes & mention things to fix or prevent them in the future. I assume that is a wooden deck you are using. Nothing wrong with that if you close it off with plastic like I saw. If you use a forced-air propane/ kerosene heater CAREFULLY, heat the closed-off deck from underneath a couple of hours before using it to work out in the cold, so your workspace will get warmer, & add above-deck heating? as necessary. Again, carefully.

Now just buy the ...
Now just buy the carbon fiber sticker pattern from ebay lol. Where'd? you get the CF material from?

@WJP004 very good ...
@WJP004 very good idea - thanks for adding that,? and thanks for your kind comments.

After mt first ...
After mt first layer of resin is tacky I apply a second one which allows you to move the cloth around and avoid the need of help with no mask. I don't wear one a the stuff I use has no fumes at all. I really liked learning your idea about using compressed air to release the job. Noe of us know everything (and the few that might don't share their secrets anyway). So good on you for posting this so honestly. See my efforts with c/f? at WJP004 channel.
